Arabian Beauty

This is a glass painting I tried few months back. I saw it in a calendar. I was drawn to it (especially the eyes) and wanted to try it.
Arabs are very fond of horses as almost everyone would be well aware of. They have the finest horses here. This is dedicated to that Arabian Spirit.
Hope you all like it :)

Ruby-Throated Hummingbird n Blooms

Glass painting of a Ruby/Red-Throated Hummingbird and blooms. I completed this before going to India in June. Finally displaying it. Its a very simple one but I wanted to paint this just for the sake of the ruby-throated angel. The effects aren't very clear here as its always very difficult to take pictures of glass paintings. Not enough sunlight reaches here and the flash becomes prominent in the photos if used. It looks better in person.

These are some pictures I took from shopping malls. You could see some fab art in tiles and floors and so on. I will post some nice pictures as and when I take it.
They've some great art over here.
Happy Blooming Tuesday to all:)

Zen Cactus

I have been doing digital art for sometime now mainly coz if I lay down my art materials once, it will take sometime to clear off 'the mess' as mentioned by my husband. Moreover space is a great concern for people like us living in Dubai in a flat.
Today I thought of making a zentangle atc...with a pear cactus in the limelight :)
If you could give a keen eye to it...you could notice the details. I don't know whether you could makeout the 'too much in too little...' like the spaces here.
Happy Cactus Monday, My Friends!

Blooms From My Daughter...

This photo was taken from Manasa, Bangalore. I loved this pond and these beautiful red flowers. I know not its name. But it just seemed so sweet.

Here's Anoushka (my daughter) and Anushka (her friend) playing on the swing...
in the garden with colourful flowers and butterfly...
and with a rainbow too...

and this was a gift that my daughter made for her teacher, Mrs. Shazia Khan, for being a loving and wonderful teacher!
Anoushka, my charming l'tl one, described her art just as such.
She is a sweet l'tl blossom in my life and she fills it with fragrance thats heavenly...
Here's wishing everyone a Happy Blooming Tuesday!

Missy, Sailing!!!

It was one happy day for Missy. She was on a leisure trip sailing across the ocean. It was the first time that she had set sailing...all alone. But...all her happiness disappeared as she saw the clouds getting ready for a down pour.
"Don't be a spoil sport," she murmured to the clouds.

Happy Cactus Monday!!!

Paperboats

Digital art again... 'Paperboats' was done in photoshop and illustrator. I like the glow the best! I enjoyed making each bit. This is a mirrored one as part of my practice session. I am a bit nostalgic about this one as the paperboats, I believe, is part and parcel of childhood. Whoever forgets making paperboats to sail in the running rain water along the drain:)

Phoenix Rising

Phoenix rising was done while I was studying photoshop. It was also selected as one of the best works among the students at that point of time:)
I had labored on it and I was pretty happy with it. It had too many layers coz
it was done from scratch... purely my imagination!

I was very fond of this pattern; these are arty parrots and I tried it on glass which I finally placed it in this window back home with the help of a carpenter. Its a sort of a "kilivaathil" or bird's window from our stairs to the rooms in the top. It is a glass painting.
Happy Animal(Bird) Wednesday...my first entry:)

Hibiscus Treat

I took these pictures from Antar Manasa, Bangalore. The first one is from our garden at my husband's place. I will post more pictures from our garden later. You may wonder what is lily in the last picture doing here. I couldn't leave this water lily alone. Poor thing! It was on top of a cemented fence. Prank of some l'tl boy!
If you wanna see my digital hibiscus with a haiku, pls visit this link.
