Parineeta

Parineeta (Married woman) series is inspired from the Parineeta movie only in name. I just love the sound of it and thought of creating women characters sensitive yet bold, mild yet firm, timid yet self-assured...all at the same time!
A wedlock brings out qualities that a woman may never have realized/recognized that she possessed. It brings out facets or nuances of her nature that reveals more to herself than others. She can do and undo anything she wishes to... I mean the positive ones unlike the soaps that always portray women in almost all the negative attributes one can imagine!
It is exactly for the same reason that we worship Goddess whether it be Saraswathi (Goddess of Wisdom), Parvathy (Goddess of Power) or Lakshmi (Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity)...or the mightier Durga (the Invincible)...different aspects of the same omnipresent and omnipotent lord.
Doesn't it make us, women, a responsible soul in every sense to mould, nuture and enrich the family she lives in?

DIY (Guest Post) in Rangiru

Here's a quick post, actually a guest post in Rangiru. Thank you Saurabh for patiently waiting for this post to reach you. It's an honour and as I said I was completely excited to create and compile it.

"What I have tried here is an amalgamation of Warli and Madhubani style of art. Warli and Madhubani are two traditional forms of art that celebrates life in all its aspects. In a world where people have forgotten even to smile, such art forms can help recreate joy and rejuvenate mankind. All you need to have is the love for life and the time to pause. These art forms depict the association of man with nature."

This is how it goes... It's a tutorial, please do visit and do not forget to share what you feel about it.

I am Back!

Hello My Friends

Let me begin with an apology for disappearing unexpectedly. I have my reasons! I had been on vacation...flew to my homeland where I thought I would connect with you all atleast with an 'I am on Vacation' post...toured Goa for a week and was food poisoned...acquired severe large intestine infection and was hospitalized for around a week...lost 5 kgs and am taking a whole lot of time to recuperate as I am on food restriction (I missed out on mom's & MIL's cusine this time!)and medicines for 6 weeks...that was until the day before my departure from India. I am back but still feeling sick very often...diagnosed with fibromyalgia - fancy name, right! (apart from some other stuff which was being diagnosed earlier) Yet, we had to make our annual visits to certain places which was unavoidable.

The school has begun with loads of projects and I am trying to keep my head still and up :)

I will be back soon...sorry for this 'SICK' post! Will get back with something exciting :)
See You Soon
