Lotus Reaper

Kerala murals are having a rebirth at this point of time. I see that people are becoming more and more interested in reviving fading and vanishing art forms. I also see that they are becoming part of the interior decor. That really makes me truly glad! I have loved all kinds of art forms be it from any part of the world especially the folk and traditional forms. Here, I have tried to use the mural procedure and drawn something less ornate unlike the usual murals to get a contemporary feel. Please do let me know what you think of it :)

There is lots of movement and color, that's for sure. Very nice Deepa. Lots of detail. She seems to be having a wonderful time swimming about in her private world of water, plants, and fish. I love it! Both versions. Happy PPF and Mother's Day!

I love this blog and can’t get enough of every aspect of it. You are a fabulously talented writer and manage to make everything so relatable. You are so good at this in fact, that sometimes while reading I feel like our hearts and minds become one and basically I feel as if I am reading my own thoughts.

This is wonderful. Beautiful colors and images. It really does feel like a mural, and the idea of a lotus gatherer is completely magical and exotic to a Westerner like me.
