Devotion of an Angel

Devotion of an Angel, Acrylic painting, 5*5 inches

The painting of the angel is done on handmade paper. I bought 4 sheets of fab handmade paper sometime back during an exhibition and now I have started using it. if you look closely you could see dried leaf embedded in the paper.
Personally, I am very much in love with this painting. The photograph has not been able to capture all its beauty.
What do you think,my friends?

I feel devotion is something inexplicable. It is an experience and each has one's own... Limiting it to words would really be restricting it...let it flow on...cherish those personal experiences:)

I am linking it up to A Thousand Words in Colours Dekor

She is a beautiful Angel. I love that paper. What a great idea to imbed dry leaf in paper. My 40 faces was done on Papel Amate which was wonderful to work with. Very textury. Thanks for sharing, she has a very calming effect.

Hand made papers give a lovely texture and an earthy feeling. Love the work, it has a serene soothing effect.

Did you use flash while shooting? Next time try taking it in natural light.

@Veda, Thanks:) The first photo with the white background was taken in natural light...but the clarity of the photo isn't complete.

@Julie, even I LOVE handmade paper, anything handmade for that matter:))

@Lakshmi Rajan, both were taken without flash; the first in natural light and the second in tubelight.

Thanks a lot DS, Magiceye, Madhumati, Nethra, Vyankatesh, Team G,Anto, Mohinee, indigenou and Purba.
