Mohini

Do you remember this sketch I had posted some time back...?

Moha, the innate desire of man which causes man to discard all his rationale plays a prime part in his life. Manav (human) derived from manas, the mind, is never detached from it. It is to play with this quality of mind that Lord Vishnu, the one who pervades, transformed into Mohini, the ethereal beauty, starkly flawless and fabulously feminine enchanted and deprived the asuras (demons) of reason by infusing every particle with desire according to the Hindu Mythology.

Here is the finished work of Mohini...a humble attempt:

 Watercolour and pitt pens

Great job of painting, Deepa. I love the shading you did. I just read your last post and see that you have moved from Dubai. I hope you will be happy in your new location and will find close-by art friends.

Wonderful piece, Deepa. I love the subtle shading and the way Mohini's skin seems to glow. The palette is wonderful and seems to be lit from behind. Gorgeous!

Hi Deepa. Long time no see. Hope all is okay. She is just beautiful and is a devine enchantress.Love those watercolors you have there. Deepa I've been meaning to send you an invite to my blog. I now have an open blog for a few hours during the day and in the evening it's closed because of spammers, etc. If you decide to visit in the evening, the blog will be closed unless you have accepted the invite. I'm going to send you one now. I just closed my blog for the day, but please accept the invite so you can get in should you decide to visit. Good to see you. HPPF! Take care.
