Potpourri

Houseboat (7*5 inches) - Acrylics on watercolour paper

This type of houseboat could be seen in Alappuzha (Venice of the East), backwaters of Kerala. They take you through the dream land of lakes and lagoons and coconut palms. They cruise through Vembanad lake, its estuaries and canals passing through the flora and fauna typical of the place. They offer you cruise packages depending on your budget. A cruise through the tranquil and serene backwaters will be heaven after months of toil and drudgery.

For Moms!

Bookmarks made with cardstock and painted in acrylics

A mother laughs
Our laughter,
Sheds our tears,
Returns our love,
Fears our fears
She lives our joys,
Cares our cares,
And all our hopes
and dreams she shares.
-Julia Summers

This quote is from a flyer that Lil A's school, Rajagiri International, gave to all the parents who attended the Mother's Day celebration today. It was a wondeful event with a Fashion Show (I didn't participate:)) for the moms. There was a compatibility test of the child with the mom in their respective classes. Kids had a blast of a time; and even we-the mothers! Lil A and I won the compatibility test of their class and she even crowned me with a cardstock crown with a glittering golden star in the middle while the children of the class applauded. It was a ecstatic!

I am very much reminded of my mom...LOVE her!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

In the inset is my photo. I was enthralled to see my work in a magazine. Thanks to PAU for selecting my artwork.

Simple Blossoms

Simple watercolour blossoms to lighten up :) which I had painted sometime back.

I had a wish to post on few dates/occasions which I wasn't unable to do. I hope I will be able to act on time sometime else. Have you felt the need to do something and...some obstacle really stands tall in the front making it impossible for you to act on time?

Devotion of an Angel

Devotion of an Angel, Acrylic painting, 5*5 inches

The painting of the angel is done on handmade paper. I bought 4 sheets of fab handmade paper sometime back during an exhibition and now I have started using it. if you look closely you could see dried leaf embedded in the paper.
Personally, I am very much in love with this painting. The photograph has not been able to capture all its beauty.
What do you think,my friends?

I feel devotion is something inexplicable. It is an experience and each has one's own... Limiting it to words would really be restricting it...let it flow on...cherish those personal experiences:)
