In Dreams Flourish...

Some days are such that you don't know where to start from...what to write exactly while there are thousands of things sounding, drumming inside you...you would like to quieten it but then that doesn't happen!!! On one such day (perhaps many days...) you end up writing and writing many stuff, unrelated stuff in your MS Word...coz it's easy that way...you read and reread at times, coherent-incoherent thoughts (to self!)...vague dreams...dreams that are so crystal clear, turns out to be vague once you are fully awake and yet in your semi-awareness...you drift into it again, relive it again, try to capture it...and then you would want to create it...create it with paints and brushes...but dreams-imagination always has the upper hand...never is your work alike to the grandeur of the one you dreamt! It is frustrating!

But this said, it is in the imagination we flourish the most! Anything and everything can happen in that realm...none to question you, none to judge you, none to provoke or sideline you...none at all...for anything! You are the King/Queen! You are the Hero/Heroine! You own the world and that whole world is what you adorn with...

For me dreams and imagination/fantasy are one and the same. I dream my imagination and I imagine my dreams!

I fluttered wingless
To escape to a world of unicorns
To see and feel the magic
Where winged horses fly you
To wonderlands

I fluttered wingless
Searching for those scented breeze
The golden rays and the cold air
Drifting among sensuous swans
Bidding au revoir to throbbing lands

I fluttered wingless
Searching for lands and spaces
Twisting and turning mysterious Snow-robed peaks,
Of heard stories and unseen mystics
Shambala, a Godly Avenue
From where invitations are never sent forth

I fluttered wingless
Where stars shine, while the fullness
Of the white light mesmerizes me
Where each particle shines
Leaving you with phenomenal awe…
Humbles you to the core!

I fluttered wingless
For your absolute embrace – O Divine!
To be by Your side, paint the world
With jubilant hues and shades of my own
Where we thrive and prosper!

Tropical

Tropical (Illustration Friday topic) in Gond inspired painting...
‘Tropical’ is something am always fond of for its wildly bursting flowers of myriad warm hues, deliciously looking birds, blue beaches mesmerizing with its rhythmic waves and the sun-kissed nature.

*Gond Painting - It is the tribal art of Madhya Pradesh and has it's origins from the Gonds, the largest Adivasi (tribal) community of Dravidian origin. The term comes from Kond which means Green Mountains in the Dravidian idiom. They inhabited the Vindhyas, Satpura and Mandla region. As most tribal culture would have it, they were closely bonded with nature as is every form of their art. They believe in supernatural forces and Gods and Goddesses as their protectors, their supreme lord being Badadev. They are an agricultural community.Their art is supposed be an expression of their everyday quest for life. They decorated their houses and floors with traditional tatoos and motifs. The fine lines, dots and dashes of traditional Gond Pradhan motifs were introduced to the world by the late painter J.Swaminathan, who discovered a talented seventeen year old Jangarh Singh Shyam decorating the huts of Patangarh in Madhya Pradesh. Jangarh's meteoric rise to fame was marked by his acclaimed exhibitions in Paris and Tokyo and ended on a tragic note with his suicide.

The legacy of Jangarh is captured in the artistic brilliance and creativity of his family who he had mentored in this traditional art form, and thus came about the resurgence of a whole new generation of Shyam.

Asus ZenPad 8.0 - Product Review

Good Morning Dear Friends!

To begin with and to be honest, I am not a very tech savvy person!

Having said that, I am all the same thrilled to have received a Great New Year Gift in the form of an Asus ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL (Black) from the Lovely and Generous Asus Team to get it reviewed. This is my first Tablet (I get to keep it!) and I am pretty happy about it.

First Impression:

General Look:

It's elegant and can be carried in your bag and fits in your hands just like a diary or a clutch! It does weigh 350 gms and is not very easy to be carried around in hand but one can always use a bag!!! It came with an Audio cover which has an integrated surround sound.

Asus ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL

Battery Life:

I charged it as suggested and it does have a good battery life. Since I use most of my social sites in my laptop, I could go around with it for more than 15+ hours without charging.

Display:

The tablet has an 8 inch display with a resolution of 1200x800 pixels with dts HD premium surround and Corning Gorilla glass.

My daughter is a game enthusiast though I am not! She is thrilled by the clarity and sharpness of the 8 inch display that makes gaming an amazing experience. I do love music and would love to watch movies too...the tab is just ideal for all of it!

Camera:

Since mine is an art blog I rely greatly on pictures...I do have a camera but I mostly depend on my mobile as it's easy to carry around. Since everyone has a DSLR and such hi tech cameras these days, capturing beautiful shots is never a problem.

For a rear camera with 8MP/5MP auto focus and front camera with 2MP (with 140 degree selfie panorama), I hadn't expected the pictures to turn out to be this good. I tried in a lighted room, at night, outdoor during day and every time I got good results except when the light fell from one side of the window into the room. I did find the Trulife being applied a bit there though. I am impressed with the result so far.

100GB Google Drive space for 2 years
Memory is 32bit single Channel LPDDR3 / 1GB/2GB/3GB* RAM

Cons:

The weight with the audio cover is a bit more than comfortable.

Asus ZenPad 8.0 comes at a price of 17,999 with the audio cover and 14,999 with out it.

Overall, I loved it!

Happy 2016!

A brand new year!
A brand new beginning!

No resolutions
...that has never been so with me!

But with just a few prayers in my heart...

Be grateful to whatever Life has to offer.

I know it's kind of hard...every time; as life doesn't always offer the best...but then do we have a choice!?

Every dawn as I gaze at the changing hues of the sky...
I wish that I will be able to unravel the potentials with in.
Succumb to instincts, surrender to it...wholly!

As I paint each day, I try to free myself of worries - small or big!
That's the only remedy for all the maladies as far as I am concerned.
And I hope I am able to spread that through my art as well.

I enjoy the simple pleasures of life and I would like to continue to enjoy that...

Wishing Everyone Joy, Peace, Happiness and All that's Good...
Have Magical Dreams, Create Amazing Art, Spread Joy and Cheer...
Have a Rocking Year!
